Risk Analysis

PlaciPy version 1.0.0 fails to perform object-level authorization checks on assessment results, allowing authenticated users to access data they do not own. This critical flaw poses a high risk to data confidentiality.

No public exploit is known, and it is not in the KEV catalog.

Recommended Action

Enforce strict ownership checks on all API routes that return assessment results.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-25876 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.

The vulnerability requires no privileges and no user interaction, making it a prime target for automated exploitation campaigns and worm-like propagation.

A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), with a CVSS base score of 9.1.
