Official Description
Call of Duty Elite for iOS 2.0.1 does not properly validate the server SSL certificate, which allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information via a Man-in-the-Middle (MITM) attack.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2012-4918 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
Exploitation requires some privileges, which limits the exposure to scenarios where an attacker has already gained initial access.
