In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: virtio_net: Fix UAF on dst_ops when IFF_XMIT_DST_RELEASE is cleared and napi_tx is false A UAF issue occurs when the virtio_net driver is configured with napi_tx=N and the device's IFF_XMIT_DST_RELEASE flag is cleared (e.g., during the configuration of tc route filter rules). When IFF_XMIT_DST_RELEASE is removed from the net_device, the network stack expects the driver to hold the reference to skb->dst until the packet is fully transmitted and freed. In virtio_net with napi_tx=N, skbs may remain in the virtio transmit ring for an extended period. If the network namespace is destroyed while these skbs are still pending, the corresponding dst_ops structure has freed. When a subsequent packet is transmitted, free_old_xmit() is triggered to clean up old skbs. It then calls dst_release() on the skb associated with the stale dst_entry. Since the dst_ops (referenced by the dst_entry) has already been freed, a UAF kernel paging request occurs. fix it by adds skb_dst_drop(skb) in start_xmit to explicitly release the dst reference before the skb is queued in virtio_net. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: f2fs: fix use-after-free of sbi in f2fs_compress_write_end_io() In f2fs_compress_write_end_io(), dec_page_count(sbi, type) can bring the F2FS_WB_CP_DATA counter to zero, unblocking f2fs_wait_on_all_pages() in f2fs_put_super() on a concurrent unmount CPU. The unmount path then proceeds to call f2fs_destroy_page_array_cache(sbi), which destroys sbi->page_array_slab via kmem_cache_destroy(), and eventually kfree(sbi). Meanwhile, the bio completion callback is still executing: when it reaches page_array_free(sbi, ...), it dereferences sbi->page_array_slab — a destroyed slab cache — to call kmem_cache_free(), causing a use-after-free. This is the same class of bug as CVE-2026-23234 (which fixed the equivalent race in f2fs_write_end_io() in data.c), but in the compressed writeback completion path that was not covered by that fix. Fix this by moving dec_page_count() to after page_array_free(), so that all sbi accesses complete before the counter decrement that can unblock unmount. For non-last folios (where atomic_dec_return on cic->pending_pages is nonzero), dec_page_count is called immediately before returning — page_array_free is not reached on this path, so there is no post-decrement sbi access. For the last folio, page_array_free runs while the F2FS_WB_CP_DATA counter is still nonzero (this folio has not yet decremented it), keeping sbi alive, and dec_page_count runs as the final operation.

When these pages are later allocated as high-order pages and split via split_page(), tail pages retain stale page->private values. This causes a use-after-free in the swap subsystem. The swap code uses page->private to track swap count continuations, assuming freshly allocated pages have page->private == 0. Wasmtime is a runtime for WebAssembly. From 32.0.0 to before 36.0.7, 42.0.2, and 43.0.1, Wasmtime's Cranelift compilation backend contains a bug on aarch64 when performing a certain shape of heap accesses which means that the wrong address is accessed. When combined with explicit bounds checks a guest WebAssembly module this can create a situation where there are two diverging computations for the same address: one for the address to bounds-check and one for the address to load. This difference in address being operated on means that a guest module can pass a bounds check but then load a different address. Combined together this enables an arbitrary read/write primitive for guest WebAssembly when accesssing host memory. This is a sandbox escape as guests are able to read/write arbitrary host memory. This vulnerability has a few ingredients, all of which must be met, for this situation to occur and bypass the sandbox restrictions. This miscompiled shape of load only occurs on 64-bit WebAssembly linear memories, or when Config::wasm_memory64 is enabled. 32-bit WebAssembly is not affected. Spectre mitigations or signals-based-traps must be disabled. When spectre mitigations are enabled then the offending shape of load is not generated. When signals-based-traps are disabled then spectre mitigations are also automatically disabled. The specific bug in Cranelift is a miscompile of a load of the shape load(iadd(base, ishl(index, amt))) where amt is a constant. The amt value is masked incorrectly to test if it's a certain value, and this incorrect mask means that Cranelift can pattern-match this lowering rule during instruction selection erroneously, diverging from WebAssembly's and Cranelift's semantics. This incorrect lowering would, for example, load an address much further away than intended as the correct address's computation would have wrapped around to a smaller value insetad. This vulnerability is fixed in 36.0.7, 42.0.2, and 43.0.1.
