We should fix mkfs not to generate broken filesystems, but anyone can fuzz the ondisk superblock so we should be more cautious. I think the inadequate logic predates commit a6a65fef5ef8d0, but that's clearly going to require a different backport.
phpMyFAQ before 4.1.3 contains an unauthenticated password reset vulnerability in the user password update API endpoint that allows attackers to change account passwords without token validation. Attackers can enumerate valid username and email pairs and force immediate password changes by sending PUT requests to the /api/index.php/user/password/update endpoint, causing account disruption and invalidating legitimate user credentials.
Fixed a VM panic caused by unbounded recursion in the grpcfuse kernel module when a container created deeply nested directories on a bind-mounted host folder and triggered a dentry invalidation event. This issue has been fixed in Docker Desktop 4.76.0.
Heimdall is a cloud native Identity Aware Proxy and Access Control Decision service. When using Heimdall in envoy gRPC decision API mode with versions 0.7.0-alpha through 0.17.10, wrong encoding of the query URL string allows rules with non-wildcard path expressions to be bypassed. Envoy splits the requested URL into parts, and sends the parts individually to Heimdall. Although query and path are present in the API, the query field is documented to be always empty and the URL query is included in the path field. The implementation uses go's url library to reconstruct the url which automatically encodes special characters in the path. As a consequence, a parameter like /mypath?foo=bar to Path is escaped into /mypath%3Ffoo=bar. Subsequently, a rule matching /mypath no longer matches and is bypassed. The issue can only lead to unintended access if Heimdall is configured with an "allow all" default rule. Since v0.16.0, Heimdall enforces secure defaults and refuses to start with such a configuration unless this enforcement is explicitly disabled, e.g. via --insecure-skip-secure-default-rule-enforcement or the broader --insecure flag. This issue has been fixed in version 0.17.11.
OwnTone Server versions 28.4 through 29.0 contain a race condition vulnerability in the DAAP login handler that allows unauthenticated attackers to crash the server by exploiting unsynchronized access to the global DAAP session list. Attackers can flood the DAAP /login endpoint with concurrent requests to trigger a remote denial of service condition without requiring authentication.
MedDream PACS Server Premium 6.7.1.1 contains an SQL injection vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary SQL queries by injecting malicious code through the email parameter. Attackers can submit crafted POST requests to the userSignup.php endpoint with SQL payloads in the email field to extract sensitive database information from the backend MySQL database.
TypeBot is a chatbot builder tool. In versions prior to 3.17.2, SSRF validation is implemented by resolving a hostname once and checking whether the resolved IP belongs to a forbidden range allowing for DNS rebinding bypass. The root cause is a time-of-check to time-of-use gap in the SSRF guard. The validator resolves the hostname and approves it, but the later request path performs a fresh resolution and connects to whatever IP the hostname maps to at that moment. The actual outbound request is then performed later using the original hostname, without pinning the validated IP to the network connection. An attacker who can supply a URL to a public bot that performs a server-side HTTP Request block or server-side script fetch can use DNS rebinding to pass the initial validation and still force the server to connect to a private or metadata address during the real request. This enables server-side access to private network services, cloud metadata endpoints, and other internal HTTP targets that the validator was intended to block. The exact downstream impact depends on the reachable internal services. Concrete consequences include metadata disclosure, access to internal admin panels, credential theft from metadata services, and further compromise through internal-only HTTP interfaces. This issue has been fixed in version 3.17.2.
WP AutoSuggest 0.24 contains an SQL injection vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary SQL queries by injecting malicious code through the wpas_keys parameter. Attackers can send GET requests to autosuggest.php with crafted wpas_keys values to extract sensitive database information from WordPress posts and other tables.
Wow Forms WordPress Plugin version 2.1 contains an SQL injection vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to read arbitrary database information by exploiting an unescaped POST parameter. Attackers can inject SQL code through the 'mwpformid' parameter in requests to the admin-ajax.php endpoint with the 'send_mwp_form' action to extract sensitive database contents.
Mastodon is a free, open-source social network server based on ActivityPub. FASP registration requires manual approval by an administrator. In versions 4.4.0 through 4.4.13 and 4.5.0 through 4.5.6, actions performed by a FASP to subscribe to account/content lifecycle events or to backfill content did not check properly whether the FASP was actually approved. This only affects Mastodon servers that have opted in to testing the experimental FASP feature by setting the environment variable `EXPERIMENTAL_FEATURES` to a value including `fasp`. An attacker can make subscriptions and request content backfill without approval by an administrator. Done once, this leads to minor information leak of URIs that are publicly available anyway. But done several times this is a serious vector for DOS, putting pressure on the sidekiq worker responsible for the `fasp` queue. The fix is included in the 4.4.14 and 4.5.7 releases. Admins that are actively testing the experimental "fasp" feature should update their systems. Servers not using the experimental feature flag `fasp` are not affected.
Admidio is an open-source user management solution. Prior to version 5.0.9, the SAML IdP implementation in Admidio's SSO module uses the AssertionConsumerServiceURL value directly from incoming SAML AuthnRequest messages as the destination for the SAML response, without validating it against the registered ACS URL (smc_acs_url) stored in the database for the corresponding service provider client. An attacker who knows the Entity ID of a registered SP client can craft a SAML AuthnRequest with an arbitrary AssertionConsumerServiceURL, causing the IdP to send the signed SAML response -- containing user identity attributes (login name, email, roles, profile fields) -- to an attacker-controlled URL. This issue has been patched in version 5.0.9.
bz2.BZ2Decompressor objects could be reused after a decompression error. If an application caught the resulting OSError and retried with the same decompressor, crafted input could cause the decompressor to resume from an invalid internal state and perform out-of-bounds writes to a stack buffer. This could crash the process when processing untrusted data.
mouse07410/asn1c is an ASN.1 compiler. In 1.4 and earlier, a memory safety vulnerability was identified in the OER decoding skeleton files generated by asn1c (specifically INTEGER_oer.c). When parsing a maliciously crafted, zero-length OER payload for a variable-length, non-negative INTEGER type, the decoder fails to validate the required bytes before extracting the Most Significant Bit (MSB). This forces a precise 1-byte Heap Out-of-Bounds (OOB) Read. Because asn1c generated code is primarily deployed to parse untrusted network inputs (such as V2X network protocols, 5G telecom headers, or X.509 certificates), when the decoder processes untrusted network-originated input, a remote attacker can exploit this to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) or trigger incorrect integer interpretation in downstream applications (e.g., protocol state poisoning or logic bypass).
Care2x 2.7 contains multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities that allow unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands by manipulating the ck_config cookie parameter. Attackers can inject malicious SQL through the ck_config cookie in multiple endpoints including login.php, indexframe.php, and various module files to extract sensitive database information without authentication.
Traefik is an HTTP reverse proxy and load balancer. Prior to versions 2.11.43, 3.6.14, and 3.7.0-rc.2, there is a high severity authentication bypass vulnerability in Traefik's StripPrefixRegex middleware when used in combination with ForwardAuth, BasicAuth, or DigestAuth. The middleware matches the regex against the decoded URL path but uses the resulting byte length to slice the percent-encoded raw path. When a dot (or multiple dots) appears in the prefix portion of the URL, the raw path after stripping becomes a dot-segment (e.g. /./admin/secret). ForwardAuth receives this dot-segment path in X-Forwarded-Uri, which does not match the protected path patterns and therefore allows the request through. The backend then normalizes the dot-segment to the real path per RFC 3986 and serves the protected content An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this against any backend that performs dot-segment normalization. This issue has been patched in versions 2.11.43, 3.6.14, and 3.7.0-rc.2.

MinIO is a high-performance object storage system. Starting in RELEASE.2023-05-18T00-05-36Z and prior to RELEASE.2026-04-11T03-20-12Z, an authentication bypass vulnerability in MinIO's Snowball auto-extract handler (`PutObjectExtractHandler`) allows any user who knows a valid access key to write arbitrary objects to any bucket without knowing the secret key or providing a valid cryptographic signature. Any MinIO deployment is impacted. The attack requires only a valid access key (the well-known default `minioadmin`, or any key with WRITE permission on a bucket) and a target bucket name. When `authTypeStreamingUnsignedTrailer` support was added, the new auth type was handled in `PutObjectHandler` and `PutObjectPartHandler` but was never added to `PutObjectExtractHandler`. The snowball auto-extract handler's `switch rAuthType` block has no case for `authTypeStreamingUnsignedTrailer`, so execution falls through with zero signature verification. The `isPutActionAllowed` call before the switch extracts the access key and checks IAM permissions, but does not verify the cryptographic signature. An attacker sends a PUT request with `X-Amz-Content-Sha256: STREAMING-UNSIGNED-PAYLOAD-TRAILER`, `X-Amz-Meta-Snowball-Auto-Extract: true`, and an `Authorization` header containing a valid access key with a completely fabricated signature. The request is accepted and the tar payload is extracted into the bucket. Users of the open-source minio/minio project should upgrade to MinIO AIStor RELEASE.2026-04-11T03-20-12Z or later. If upgrading is not immediately possible, block unsigned-trailer requests at the load balancer. Reject any request containing X-Amz-Content-Sha256: STREAMING-UNSIGNED-PAYLOAD-TRAILER at the reverse proxy or WAF layer. Clients can use STREAMING-AWS4-HMAC-SHA256-PAYLOAD-TRAILER (the signed variant) instead. Alternatively, restrict WRITE permissions. Limit s3:PutObject grants to trusted principals. While this reduces the attack surface, it does not eliminate the vulnerability since any user with WRITE permission can exploit it with only their access key.
Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling vulnerability in ninenines cowboy allows denial of service via unbounded buffer accumulation in multipart header parsing. cowboy_req:read_part/3 in src/cowboy_req.erl accumulates incoming request bytes into a Buffer binary with no upper-bound check. When cow_multipart:parse_headers/2 returns more or {more, Buffer2}, the function reads up to Length bytes (default 64 KB) from the request body and recurses with the enlarged buffer. There is no equivalent of the byte_size(Acc) > Length guard present in the sibling function read_part_body/4. An unauthenticated attacker can send a multipart/form-data request whose body never yields a complete header section — for example, a body that never contains the advertised boundary delimiter, or one whose header lines never contain \r\n\r\n — and force the server process to accumulate memory linearly with the bytes the protocol layer is willing to deliver. A handful of concurrent such uploads is sufficient to exhaust BEAM memory. This issue affects cowboy from 2.0.0 before 2.15.0.
OpenClaw versions prior to 2026.2.19 construct RegExp objects directly from unescaped Feishu mention metadata in the stripBotMention function, allowing regex injection and denial of service. Attackers can craft nested-quantifier patterns or metacharacters in mention metadata to trigger catastrophic backtracking, block message processing, or remove unintended content before model processing.
Dalfox is a powerful open-source XSS scanner and utility focused on automation. Prior to 2.13.0, when dalfox is run in REST API server mode, the output, output-all, and debug fields in model.Options are JSON-tagged and deserialized directly from the attacker's request body, then propagated unchanged through dalfox.Initialize into the scan engine's logging path. The logger opens the attacker-supplied path with os.O_APPEND|os.O_CREATE|os.O_WRONLY and writes scan log lines to it. Critically, this file write block lives outside the IsLibrary guard in DalLog, so it executes even in server/library mode where file output was never intended to operate. Because no API key is required in the default configuration, an unauthenticated network caller can create or append to any file writable by the dalfox process on the host filesystem. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.13.0.

Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling vulnerability in elixir-tesla tesla allows denial of service via atom table exhaustion in Tesla.Adapter.Mint. Tesla.Adapter.Mint.open_conn/2 converts the URL scheme of every outgoing request to a BEAM atom via String.to_atom(uri.scheme) with no allow-list validation. BEAM atoms are never garbage-collected and the atom table is bounded (approximately 1,048,576 entries by default). An attacker who can influence the URL of a Tesla request — either via an application-level URL-forwarding feature (webhook, proxy, importer) or via a Location header returned by a server when Tesla.Middleware.FollowRedirects is in the pipeline — can mint one fresh permanent atom per request by varying the scheme string. After enough requests the atom table fills and the VM crashes, taking down the entire application. This issue affects tesla: from 1.3.0 before 1.18.3.

Admidio is an open-source user management solution. Prior to version 5.0.9, the Admidio SAML Identity Provider implementation discards the return value of its validateSignature() method at both call sites (handleSSORequest() line 418 and handleSLORequest() line 613). The method returns error strings on failure rather than throwing exceptions, but the developer believed it would throw (per comments on lines 416 and 611). This means the smc_require_auth_signed configuration option is completely ineffective — unsigned or invalidly-signed SAML AuthnRequests and LogoutRequests are processed identically to properly signed ones. This issue has been patched in version 5.0.9.

Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response. From version 4.8.0 to before version 4.14.4, a stack-based buffer overflow exists in print_hex_string() in wazuh-remoted. The bug is triggered when formatting attacker-controlled bytes using sprintf(dst_buf + 2*i, "%.2x", src_buf[i]) on platforms where char is treated as signed and the compiled code sign-extends bytes before the variadic call. For input bytes such as 0xFF, the formatting can emit "ffffffff" (8 chars) instead of "ff" (2 chars), causing an out-of-bounds write past a fixed 2049-byte stack buffer. The vulnerable path is reachable remotely prior to any agent authentication/registration logic via TCP/1514 when an oversized length prefix causes the “unexpected message (hex)” diagnostic path to run. Additionally, the same unauthenticated oversized-message diagnostic path logs an attacker-controlled hex dump to /var/ossec/logs/ossec.log for each trigger, allowing remote log amplification that can degrade monitoring fidelity and consume disk/I/O. This log amplification is reachable even without triggering the sign-extension overflow (e.g., using bytes < 0x80). This issue has been patched in version 4.14.4.

This vulnerability allows a remote attacker to inject arbitrary JavaScript code into the web user interface, which may alter the intended functionality and could lead to the disclosure of credentials within a trusted session.

A buffer underflow vulnerability has been identified in the ogg123 utility from the vorbis-tools 1.4.3 package in function remotethread in remote.c. This vulnerability occurs in the remote control functionality when processing malformed input, leading to a stack buffer underflow that can cause application crashes and potentially allow code execution.
Algernon is a small self-contained pure-Go web server. Prior to 1.17.6, in engine/luahandler.go, the sync.RWMutex protecting LoadCommonFunctions is released before L.Push() and L.PCall() execute. Since gopher-lua's LState is explicitly not goroutine-safe, concurrent requests race on the shared state causing Lua VM corruption. The Go race detector confirms this immediately under modest concurrency (ab -n 1000 -c 100). This vulnerability is fixed in 1.17.6.
Balbooa Joomla Forms Builder 2.0.6 contains an unauthenticated SQL injection vulnerability in the form submission handler that allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL queries. Attackers can send POST requests to the com_baforms component with malicious JSON payloads in the 'id' field parameter to extract sensitive database information.
DrawIO for ownCloud is an application for using DrawIO with the file storage, synchronization, and sharing application ownCloud Classic. In DrawIO for ownCloud prior to version 1.0.2, which corresponds to ownCloud 10 prior to version 10.15.3, attackers with access to the DrawIO app can leverage improper neutralization of input during web page generation to achieve stored XSS. Upgrade ownCloud 10 to version 10.15.3 or later or upgrade DrawIO for ownCloud 10 to version 1.0.2 or later to receive a patch.
Joomla! Component My Projects 2.0 contains an SQL injection vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary SQL queries by injecting malicious code through the VerAyari parameter. Attackers can craft requests to the component endpoint with SQL injection payloads to extract sensitive database information including credentials and system data.
nimiq-account contains account primitives to be used in Nimiq's Rust implementation. Prior to version 1.3.0, `VestingContract::can_change_balance` returns `AccountError::InsufficientFunds` when `new_balance < min_cap`, but it constructs the error using `balance: self.balance - min_cap`. `Coin::sub` panics on underflow, so if an attacker can reach a state where `min_cap > balance`, the node crashes while trying to return an error. The `min_cap > balance` precondition is attacker-reachable because the vesting contract creation data (32-byte format) allows encoding `total_amount` without validating `total_amount <= transaction.value` (the real contract balance). After creating such a vesting contract, the attacker can broadcast an outgoing transaction to trigger the panic during mempool admission and block processing. The patch for this vulnerability is included as part of v1.3.0. No known workarounds are available.
PIA's OIDC issuer allowlist for Jenkins tokens uses a bare string-prefix check (issuer.startswith(' https://ci.eclipse.org ') in is_issuer_known, pia/models.py:139) instead of validating the issuer as a properly host-bounded URL. An attacker can craft an issuer such as https://[email protected] (userinfo trick) or https://ci.eclipse.org.evil.host (suffix trick) that satisfies the prefix check while pointing the OIDC discovery and JWKS fetches at a server the attacker controls. An unauthenticated caller of POST /v1/upload/sbom can use this to force PIA to make outbound HTTP(S) requests to an arbitrary attacker-chosen host, and to have oidc.verify_token accept a JWT signed with the attacker's own key.

When `authTypeStreamingUnsignedTrailer` support was added, the new auth type was handled in `PutObjectHandler` and `PutObjectPartHandler` but was never added to `PutObjectExtractHandler`. The snowball auto-extract handler's `switch rAuthType` block has no case for `authTypeStreamingUnsignedTrailer`, so execution falls through with zero signature verification. The `isPutActionAllowed` call before the switch extracts the access key and checks IAM permissions, but does not verify the cryptographic signature. An attacker sends a PUT request with `X-Amz-Content-Sha256: STREAMING-UNSIGNED-PAYLOAD-TRAILER`, `X-Amz-Meta-Snowball-Auto-Extract: true`, and an `Authorization` header containing a valid access key with a completely fabricated signature. The request is accepted and the tar payload is extracted into the bucket. Users of the open-source minio/minio project should upgrade to MinIO AIStor RELEASE.2026-04-11T03-20-12Z or later. If upgrading is not immediately possible, block unsigned-trailer requests at the load balancer. Reject any request containing X-Amz-Content-Sha256: STREAMING-UNSIGNED-PAYLOAD-TRAILER at the reverse proxy or WAF layer. Clients can use STREAMING-AWS4-HMAC-SHA256-PAYLOAD-TRAILER (the signed variant) instead. Alternatively, restrict WRITE permissions. Limit s3:PutObject grants to trusted principals. While this reduces the attack surface, it does not eliminate the vulnerability since any user with WRITE permission can exploit it with only their access key. |
