In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: 9p/xen: protect xen_9pfs_front_free against concurrent calls The xenwatch thread can race with other back-end change notifications and call xen_9pfs_front_free() twice, hitting the observed general protection fault due to a double-free. CWE CWE-862

MISP Core contained broken access-control checks in the bulk deletion flows for Event Reports and Sharing Groups. The affected deleteSelection handlers authorized deletion using broad role-level permissions instead of validating authorization for each selected object. For Event Reports, EventReportsController::deleteSelection relied on the global perm_add capability rather than a per-report ownership/authorization check. As a result, a contributor-level user could submit report IDs or UUIDs for reports belonging to other organisations and hard-delete them instance-wide. The fix changed the callback to call EventReport::fetchIfAuthorized($user, $itemId, 'delete') for each selected report before deletion. For Sharing Groups, SharingGroupsController::deleteSelection relied on the global perm_sharing_group capability rather than verifying ownership of each selected sharing group. This allowed a sharing-group-capable user to hard-delete sharing groups owned by other organisations, bypassing the per-object ownership gate used by the single-object delete action. The fix changed the callback to call SharingGroup::checkIfOwner($user, $itemId) for each selected sharing group. An authenticated attacker with the relevant broad role permission could abuse the affected bulk deletion endpoints to delete objects outside their organisation’s authorization scope, causing loss of event-report content or sharing-group configuration across the instance.

Quest NetVault Backup NVBUDashboard SQL Injection Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Quest NetVault Backup. Although authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability, the existing authentication mechanism can be bypassed. The specific flaw exists within the processing of NVBUDashboard JSON-RPC messages. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied string before using it to construct SQL queries. The snorkel library thru v0.10.0 contains an insecure deserialization vulnerability (CWE-502) in the MultitaskClassifier.load() method of the MultitaskClassifier class. The method loads model weight files using torch.load() without enabling the security-restrictive weights_only=True parameter. This default behavior allows the deserialization of arbitrary Python objects via the Pickle module. A remote attacker can exploit this by providing a maliciously crafted model file, leading to arbitrary code execution on the victim's system when the file is loaded via the vulnerable method.

The Premmerce Dev Tools plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution via missing authorization in versions up to and including 2.0. This is due to the 'generatePluginHandler' function lacking any authorization check before processing user-supplied POST data, combined with the 'createFromStub' function performing unsanitized string substitution of the 'premmerce_plugin_namespace' parameter directly into PHP stub files written to the wp-content/plugins/ directory. An attacker can inject a semicolon followed by arbitrary PHP code into the namespace parameter, causing the generated plugin file to contain and execute that code when accessed via HTTP. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access and above to create arbitrary PHP files on the server and achieve remote code execution.

pam_usb provides hardware authentication for Linux using ordinary removable media. Prior to 0.8.7, src/tmux.c reads the user's $TMUX environment variable, splits it on commas, and interpolates the socket-path component directly into a shell command passed to popen(). Because the value is placed inside double-quotes without sanitisation, any value containing " terminates the quoted string and injects arbitrary shell syntax. popen() runs as root inside the PAM stack. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.8.7.

Sandboxie-Plus is an open source sandbox-based isolation software for Windows. In versions 1.17.2 and earlier, the SbieSvc proxy service's GetRawInputDeviceInfoSlave handler contains two vulnerabilities that can be chained for sandbox escape. First, when a sandboxed process sends an IPC request with cbSize set to 0, up to 32KB of uninitialized stack memory from the service process is returned, leaking return addresses and stack cookies which bypass ASLR and /GS protections. Second, the handler performs a memcpy with an attacker-controlled length without verifying it fits within the 32KB stack buffer, enabling a stack buffer overflow. By chaining the information leak with the overflow, a sandboxed process can execute a ROP chain to achieve SYSTEM privilege escalation, even from a Security Hardened Sandbox. Hardware-enforced shadow stacks (Intel CET) prevent the ROP chain execution but do not mitigate the information leak. This issue has been fixed in version 1.17.3.

Chamilo LMS is an open-source learning management system. In versions prior to 2.0.0-RC.3, an insecure direct object modification vulnerability in the PUT /api/users/{id} endpoint allows any authenticated user with ROLE_STUDENT to escalate their privileges to ROLE_ADMIN by modifying the roles field on their own user record. The API Platform security expression is_granted('EDIT', object) only verifies record ownership, and the roles field is included in the writable serialization group, enabling any user to set arbitrary roles such as ROLE_ADMIN. AVideo is a video-sharing Platform. Versions prior to 8.0 contain a SQL Injection vulnerability in the getSqlFromPost() method of Object.php. The $_POST['sort'] array keys are used directly as SQL column identifiers inside an ORDER BY clause. Although real_escape_string() was applied, it only escapes string-context characters (quotes, null bytes) and provides no protection for SQL identifiers — making it entirely ineffective here. This issue has been fixed in version 8.0. To workaround this issue without upgrading, operators can apply a WAF rule to block POST requests where any sort[*] key contains characters outside [A-Za-z0-9_]. Alternatively, restrict access to the queue view (queue.json.php, index.php) to trusted IP ranges only.

The Import and export users and customers plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to and including 2.0.8 via the `save_extra_user_profile_fields()` function. This is due to an incomplete blocklist that correctly restricts capability meta keys for the primary site (e.g., `wp_capabilities`, `wp_user_level`) but fails to block the equivalent meta keys for any other subsite in a WordPress Multisite network (e.g., `wp_2_capabilities`, `wp_2_user_level`), allowing these keys to pass the `in_array()` check and be written directly to user meta via `update_user_meta()`. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to escalate their privileges to Administrator on any subsite within the Multisite network by submitting a crafted profile update to `/wp-admin/profile.php`. Exploitation requires that an administrator has previously imported a CSV file containing multisite-prefixed capability column headers and has enabled the 'Show fields in profile?' option, which causes those keys to be stored in the `acui_columns` option and exposed as editable fields on the user profile page.

UltraVNC viewer through 1.8.2.2 contains an integer overflow leading to a heap buffer overflow in the RFB protocol failure-response parsing path. In vncviewer/ClientConnection.cpp, the 4-byte network-supplied reasonLen field (type CARD32) is passed as reasonLen+1 to CheckBufferSize(). Because both operands are unsigned 32-bit, a reasonLen of 0xFFFFFFFF overflows to 0, causing CheckBufferSize to allocate only 256 bytes. The subsequent ReadString(m_netbuf, reasonLen) call then performs ReadExact for the original 4 GiB length into that 256-byte heap buffer. This overflow is reachable via rfbConnFailed (auth-scheme negotiation) and rfbVncAuthFailed (post-handshake) message types without successful authentication. A malicious VNC server, or any man-in-the-middle on the RFB stream, can trigger this condition when the victim viewer connects, potentially resulting in remote code execution as the user running the viewer. The crash was confirmed with AddressSanitizer on a portable reproduction harness (heap-buffer-overflow WRITE at offset 256).
