Official Description

The Aqara IAM/SSO Gateway (gw-builder.aqara.com) used a hardcoded OAuth client credential, which is an instance of "CWE-798: Use of Hard-coded Credentials." This issue has an estimated CVSS of CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N (9.1 Critical). When combined with CVE-2026-50082, CVE-50084, and CVE-50085, this can lead to a fully unauthenticated, remote takeover of affected devices.

Risk Analysis

The Aqara IAM/SSO Gateway (gw-builder.aqara.com) is critically vulnerable due to the use of a hard-coded OAuth client credential. This flaw, with a CVSS score of 9.1, allows an attacker to bypass authentication and gain unauthorized access. When combined with other vulnerabilities, this can lead to a fully unauthenticated, remote takeover of affected devices.

No public exploit is currently known for this vulnerability. The attack vector is network-based and has low complexity, making it remotely exploitable.

Recommended Action

Replace hard-coded OAuth client credentials with securely managed and rotated credentials. Implement robust authentication mechanisms that do not rely on static, easily discoverable secrets.

Generated by the CTIWATCH analysis pipeline from this CVE's metadata (CVSS, EPSS, KEV status, exploit intelligence). Verify against vendor advisories before acting.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-50083 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.

The vulnerability requires no privileges and no user interaction, making it a prime target for automated exploitation campaigns and worm-like propagation.

A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), availability disruption (denial of service), with a CVSS base score of 9.8.
