CVE-2026-48836
CWE-94Published: June 15, 2026· Updated: Jun 17, 2026
Official Description
Unauthenticated Remote Code Execution (RCE) in Easy Invoice <= 2.1.19 versions.
Risk Analysis
This critical vulnerability allows unauthenticated Remote Code Execution (RCE) in Easy Invoice. With a CVSS score of 10.0, this flaw is of the highest severity, enabling an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the affected system. The absence of an EPSS score means the likelihood of exploitation is not currently predictable, but the perfect CVSS score indicates extreme urgency.
Currently, no public exploit is known for this vulnerability. However, its network-exploitable nature and low attack complexity make it a prime target for remote exploitation, potentially without any user interaction.
To mitigate this risk, ensure Easy Invoice is updated to a version beyond 2.1.19. Implement strict input validation and consider deploying a web application firewall (WAF) to detect and block malicious requests.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2026-48836 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
The vulnerability requires no privileges and no user interaction, making it a prime target for automated exploitation campaigns and worm-like propagation.
A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), availability disruption (denial of service), with a CVSS base score of 10.0.
The vulnerability has a "Changed" scope, meaning successful exploitation can impact components beyond the vulnerable component itself — such as the host operating system or adjacent services.
