CVE-2026-46112
Published: May 28, 2026· Updated: Jun 1, 2026
Official Description
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
RDMA/hns: Fix unlocked call to hns_roce_qp_remove()
Sashiko points out that hns_roce_qp_remove() requires the caller to hold
locks. The error flow in hns_roce_create_qp_common() doesn't hold those
locks for the error unwind so it risks corrupting memory.
Grab the same locks the other two callers use.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2026-46112 requires local access, meaning attackers must already have a foothold on the target system.
Exploitation requires low privileges, which limits the exposure to scenarios where an attacker has already gained initial access.
A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), availability disruption (denial of service), with a CVSS base score of 7.8.
