Risk Analysis

WeKan versions prior to 8.19 are vulnerable to LDAP filter injection during the authentication process. This allows an attacker to manipulate LDAP queries, potentially bypassing authentication or accessing unauthorized data. The 9.8 CVSS score highlights the critical nature of this flaw.

No public exploit is known, and it is not in KEV. The vulnerability is remotely exploitable with low complexity.

Recommended Action

Upgrade WeKan to version 8.19 or later to ensure proper escaping of user-supplied input in LDAP queries.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-25560 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.

The vulnerability requires no privileges and no user interaction, making it a prime target for automated exploitation campaigns and worm-like propagation.

A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), availability disruption (denial of service), with a CVSS base score of 9.8.
