CWE-78Published: March 20, 2026· Updated: Mar 25, 2026
Official Description
A command injection vulnerability has been reported to affect QuNetSwitch. If a remote attacker gains a user account, they can then exploit the vulnerability to execute arbitrary commands.
We have already fixed the vulnerability in the following version:
QuNetSwitch 2.0.5.0906 and later
Risk Analysis
This critical command injection vulnerability in QuNetSwitch allows authenticated remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands. With a CVSS score of 9.8, this flaw presents a severe risk, as it can lead to full system compromise. The absence of an EPSS score and KEV listing means current exploitation is not confirmed, but the severity warrants immediate attention.
No public exploit is known for this vulnerability. The flaw is remotely exploitable (AV:N) with low attack complexity, requiring a user account to exploit.
Upgrade QuNetSwitch to version 2.0.5.0906 or later to patch this command injection vulnerability. Implement strict input validation for all commands executed within QuNetSwitch.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2026-22901 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
The vulnerability requires no privileges and no user interaction, making it a prime target for automated exploitation campaigns and worm-like propagation.
A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), availability disruption (denial of service), with a CVSS base score of 9.8.
