Official Description

DMS+ (Non-Mobile) developed by Rich Source has a Use of Hard-coded Credentials vulnerability. Unauthenticated remote attackers can exploit a fixed API key to gain control over all installed DMS+ devices.

NVD Source

Risk Analysis

DMS+ devices contain hard-coded credentials that allow unauthenticated remote attackers to gain full control. With a CVSS score of 10.0, this represents a critical risk to device integrity and security.

There is no known public exploit, and the vulnerability is not in CISA's KEV catalog. It is remotely exploitable with low attack complexity.

Recommended Action

Contact the vendor for security updates or patches to remove hard-coded credentials.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-18452 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.

The vulnerability requires no privileges and no user interaction, making it a prime target for automated exploitation campaigns and worm-like propagation.

A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), availability disruption (denial of service), with a CVSS base score of 10.0.

The vulnerability has a "Changed" scope, meaning successful exploitation can impact components beyond the vulnerable component itself — such as the host operating system or adjacent services.
