CVE-2025-64126

CWE-78Published: November 26, 2025· Updated: Jun 17, 2026

10.0
CVSS v3.1

Official Description

An OS command injection vulnerability exists due to improper input

validation. The application accepts a parameter directly from user input

without verifying it is a valid IP address or filtering potentially

malicious characters. This could allow an unauthenticated attacker to

inject arbitrary commands.

NVD Source

Risk Analysis

This critical OS command injection vulnerability arises from improper input validation, where a user-supplied parameter is accepted directly without verification or filtering. With a perfect CVSS score of 10.0, this flaw represents an extremely severe risk, enabling unauthenticated remote code execution. The lack of an EPSS score and KEV status means there is no confirmed exploitation, but the perfect CVSS score indicates extreme urgency.

No public exploit is currently known for this vulnerability. The flaw is remotely exploitable due to its network attack vector and low attack complexity.

Recommended Action

Implement strict input validation and sanitization for all user-supplied data to prevent command injection. Ensure that all user input is properly escaped or filtered before being used in OS commands.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2025-64126 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.

The vulnerability requires no privileges and no user interaction, making it a prime target for automated exploitation campaigns and worm-like propagation.

A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), availability disruption (denial of service), with a CVSS base score of 10.0.

The vulnerability has a "Changed" scope, meaning successful exploitation can impact components beyond the vulnerable component itself — such as the host operating system or adjacent services.
