CVE-2025-58083
CWE-306Published: November 15, 2025· Updated: Jun 17, 2026
Official Description
General Industrial Controls Lynx+ Gateway
is missing critical authentication in the embedded web server which could allow an attacker to remotely reset the device.
Risk Analysis
This critical vulnerability in General Industrial Controls Lynx+ Gateway allows a remote attacker to reset the device due to missing critical authentication in the embedded web server. With a CVSS score of 10.0, this flaw poses an extreme risk, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to disrupt device operation and potentially impact connected industrial processes.
No public exploit is currently known for this vulnerability. The flaw is remotely exploitable with low complexity, meaning an attacker does not need local access or special conditions to exploit it.
Implement network segmentation to restrict access to the Lynx+ Gateway's web server. Apply strong access controls and consider disabling remote access if not strictly necessary.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2025-58083 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
The vulnerability requires no privileges and no user interaction, making it a prime target for automated exploitation campaigns and worm-like propagation.
A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), availability disruption (denial of service), with a CVSS base score of 10.0.
The vulnerability has a "Changed" scope, meaning successful exploitation can impact components beyond the vulnerable component itself — such as the host operating system or adjacent services.
