CWE-89Published: January 28, 2026· Updated: Jun 17, 2026

10.0
CVSS v3.1

Official Description

Explorance Blue versions prior to 8.14.9 contain a SQL injection vulnerability caused by insufficient validation of user input in a web application endpoint. An attacker can supply crafted input that is executed as part of backend database queries. The issue is exploitable without authentication, significantly raising the risk.

Risk Analysis

Explorance Blue is vulnerable to SQL injection due to improper input validation in a web endpoint. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary database queries, resulting in a critical CVSS score of 10.0.

There is no known public exploit for this vulnerability, and it is not currently listed in the CISA KEV catalog. The flaw is remotely exploitable with low attack complexity.

Recommended Action

Upgrade Explorance Blue to version 8.14.9 or later to address the input validation issue.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2025-57792 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.

The vulnerability requires no privileges and no user interaction, making it a prime target for automated exploitation campaigns and worm-like propagation.

A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), availability disruption (denial of service), with a CVSS base score of 10.0.

The vulnerability has a "Changed" scope, meaning successful exploitation can impact components beyond the vulnerable component itself — such as the host operating system or adjacent services.

From a weakness classification perspective (CWE-89): SQL injection vulnerabilities allow attackers to manipulate database queries, potentially exposing or modifying sensitive data.
