CVE-2025-56749
CWE-798Published: October 15, 2025· Updated: Jun 17, 2026
Official Description
Creativeitem Academy LMS up to and including 6.14 uses a hardcoded default JWT secret for token signing. This predictable secret allows attackers to forge valid JWT tokens, leading to authentication bypass and unauthorized access to any user account.
Risk Analysis
Creativeitem Academy LMS up to version 6.14 uses a hardcoded secret for signing JWT tokens. This allows attackers to create valid tokens, bypassing authentication and gaining unauthorized access to any user account. This is a critical vulnerability with a CVSS score of 9.4, indicating a high potential for impact.
No public exploit is currently known for this vulnerability. However, it is remotely exploitable due to the network attack vector and low attack complexity.
Administrators should update Creativeitem Academy LMS to a version past 6.14 to address the hardcoded JWT secret. Ensure all default or easily guessable secrets are changed to strong, unique values.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2025-56749 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
The vulnerability requires no privileges and no user interaction, making it a prime target for automated exploitation campaigns and worm-like propagation.
A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), with a CVSS base score of 9.4.
