CVE-2025-54347
CWE-22Published: November 24, 2025· Updated: Jun 17, 2026
Official Description
A Directory Traversal vulnerability was found in the Application Server of Desktop Alert PingAlert version 6.1.0.11 to 6.1.1.2 which allows an attacker to write arbitrary files under certain conditions.
Risk Analysis
This critical directory traversal vulnerability in Desktop Alert PingAlert Application Server versions 6.1.0.11 to 6.1.1.2 allows an attacker to write arbitrary files under certain conditions. With a CVSS score of 9.9, this flaw presents an extremely high risk, potentially leading to full system compromise. The lack of an EPSS score means its exploitation likelihood is currently unknown, but the high severity demands immediate attention.
No public exploit is currently known for this vulnerability. While it requires low privileges (PR:L), its remote exploitability (AV:N) and low attack complexity (AC:L) mean an authenticated attacker could exploit this flaw over a network.
Administrators should update Desktop Alert PingAlert Application Server to a patched version beyond 6.1.1.2 as soon as available. Implement strict input validation and access controls to prevent directory traversal attacks.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2025-54347 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
Exploitation requires low privileges, which limits the exposure to scenarios where an attacker has already gained initial access.
A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), availability disruption (denial of service), with a CVSS base score of 9.9.
The vulnerability has a "Changed" scope, meaning successful exploitation can impact components beyond the vulnerable component itself — such as the host operating system or adjacent services.
