CVE-2025-54339
CWE-284Published: November 14, 2025· Updated: Jun 17, 2026
Official Description
An Incorrect Access Control vulnerability was found in the Application Server of Desktop Alert PingAlert version 6.1.0.11 to 6.1.1.2 exploitable remotely for Escalation of Privileges.
Risk Analysis
This critical vulnerability in Desktop Alert PingAlert Application Server allows a remote attacker to escalate privileges due to incorrect access control. With a CVSS score of 10.0, this flaw presents an extreme risk to system integrity and confidentiality, as an unauthenticated attacker could gain elevated permissions and potentially impact system availability.
No public exploit is currently known for this vulnerability. The flaw is remotely exploitable with low complexity, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to achieve privilege escalation.
Review and apply any available patches or updates from Desktop Alert for the PingAlert Application Server. Implement the principle of least privilege for all users and services accessing the application server.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2025-54339 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
The vulnerability requires no privileges and no user interaction, making it a prime target for automated exploitation campaigns and worm-like propagation.
A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), with a CVSS base score of 10.0.
The vulnerability has a "Changed" scope, meaning successful exploitation can impact components beyond the vulnerable component itself — such as the host operating system or adjacent services.
