Official Description
A low‑privileged local attacker who gains access to the UBR service account (e.g., via SSH) can escalate privileges to obtain full system access. This is due to the service account being permitted to execute certain binaries (e.g., tcpdump and ip) with sudo.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2025-41761 requires local access, meaning attackers must already have a foothold on the target system.
Exploitation requires low privileges, which limits the exposure to scenarios where an attacker has already gained initial access.
A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), availability disruption (denial of service), with a CVSS base score of 7.8.
