CVE-2025-41723
CWE-35Published: October 22, 2025· Updated: Jun 17, 2026
Official Description
The importFile SOAP method is vulnerable to a directory traversal attack. An unauthenticated remote attacker bypass the path restriction and upload files to arbitrary locations.
Risk Analysis
This critical vulnerability allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to bypass path restrictions and upload files to arbitrary locations via the importFile SOAP method, potentially leading to full system compromise. The CVSS score of 9.8 indicates a severe risk, as it is remotely exploitable without any user interaction or prior privileges. The absence of an EPSS score means the likelihood of exploitation is not currently predictable.
No public exploit is currently known for this vulnerability. Its remote exploitability and low attack complexity make it a significant concern.
To mitigate this vulnerability, implement strict input validation for file paths and restrict file upload locations. If an update is not immediately feasible, consider restricting network access to the affected application.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2025-41723 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
The vulnerability requires no privileges and no user interaction, making it a prime target for automated exploitation campaigns and worm-like propagation.
A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), availability disruption (denial of service), with a CVSS base score of 9.8.
