CVE-2025-29270
CWE-200Published: October 31, 2025· Updated: Jun 17, 2026
Official Description
Incorrect access control in the realtime.cgi endpoint of Deep Sea Electronics devices DSE855 v1.1.0 to v1.1.26 allows attackers to gain access to the admin panel and complete control of the device.
Risk Analysis
This critical vulnerability in Deep Sea Electronics DSE855 devices allows unauthenticated attackers to gain full administrative control due to incorrect access control in the realtime.cgi endpoint. With a perfect CVSS score of 10.0, this flaw presents an extreme risk, enabling complete compromise of the device's confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The absence of an EPSS score means the exploitation likelihood is not yet quantifiable, but the critical severity demands immediate attention.
No public exploit is currently known for this vulnerability. The flaw is remotely exploitable due to its network attack vector and low attack complexity.
Users of Deep Sea Electronics DSE855 devices should update to a version beyond 1.1.26 immediately. Implement strict access controls and network segmentation to protect these devices from unauthorized access.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2025-29270 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
The vulnerability requires no privileges and no user interaction, making it a prime target for automated exploitation campaigns and worm-like propagation.
A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), availability disruption (denial of service), with a CVSS base score of 10.0.
The vulnerability has a "Changed" scope, meaning successful exploitation can impact components beyond the vulnerable component itself — such as the host operating system or adjacent services.
From a weakness classification perspective (CWE-200): Information exposure vulnerabilities leak sensitive data to unauthorized actors.
