CWE-20Published: January 22, 2026· Updated: Jun 17, 2026
Official Description
AES contains a SQL injection vulnerability due to an inactive configuration that prevents the latest SQL parsing logic from being applied. When this configuration is not enabled, crafted input may be improperly handled, allowing attackers to inject and execute arbitrary SQL queries.
Risk Analysis
Altium On-Prem Enterprise Server is vulnerable to SQL injection due to an inactive configuration that prevents proper SQL parsing. This allows attackers to execute arbitrary SQL queries. The critical severity indicates a high risk to database integrity and confidentiality.
No public exploit is known, and it is not in CISA KEV. The vulnerability is remotely exploitable.
Enable the required configuration to ensure the latest SQL parsing logic is applied. Contact Altium support for guidance on verifying the security configuration.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2025-27378 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
The vulnerability requires no privileges and no user interaction, making it a prime target for automated exploitation campaigns and worm-like propagation.
A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), availability disruption (denial of service), with a CVSS base score of 9.8.
