CWE-256Published: December 30, 2025· Updated: Jun 17, 2026

9.3
CVSS v3.1

Official Description

Ksenia Security lares (legacy model) Home Automation version 1.6 contains an unprotected endpoint vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers to upload MPFS File System binary images. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability to overwrite flash program memory and potentially execute arbitrary code on the home automation system's web server.

Risk Analysis

An unprotected endpoint in Ksenia Security lares allows authenticated attackers to upload binary images, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution. The critical severity reflects the risk of full system compromise via memory manipulation.

No public exploit is currently known, and the vulnerability is not in the KEV database. While the attack requires authentication, the low complexity makes it a significant concern.

Recommended Action

Apply the latest firmware patches provided by Ksenia Security. Implement strict access controls to prevent unauthorized users from reaching the web server endpoints.

Generated by the CTIWATCH analysis pipeline from this CVE's metadata (CVSS, EPSS, KEV status, exploit intelligence). Verify against vendor advisories before acting.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2025-15113 requires local access, meaning attackers must already have a foothold on the target system.

The vulnerability requires no privileges and no user interaction, making it a prime target for automated exploitation campaigns and worm-like propagation.

A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), availability disruption (denial of service), with a CVSS base score of 9.3.

The vulnerability has a "Changed" scope, meaning successful exploitation can impact components beyond the vulnerable component itself — such as the host operating system or adjacent services.
