CVE-2025-12176
CWE-1242Published: October 24, 2025· Updated: Jun 17, 2026
Official Description
Undocumented administrative accounts were getting created to facilitate access for applications running on board. This issue affects BLU-IC2: through 1.19.5; BLU-IC4: through 1.19.5.
Risk Analysis
This critical vulnerability involves the creation of undocumented administrative accounts in BLU-IC2 and BLU-IC4 devices, which could allow an unauthenticated attacker to gain full control. With a CVSS score of 9.8, this flaw presents a severe risk to system confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The absence of an EPSS score means the likelihood of exploitation is not yet quantified, but the nature of the flaw is highly concerning.
No public exploit is currently known for this vulnerability. However, its remote exploitability (AV:N) and low attack complexity mean that a working exploit could emerge, making it a high-priority concern.
It is critical to update BLU-IC2 and BLU-IC4 devices to versions beyond 1.19.5 to address this vulnerability. Review and remove any unauthorized or undocumented administrative accounts immediately.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2025-12176 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
The vulnerability requires no privileges and no user interaction, making it a prime target for automated exploitation campaigns and worm-like propagation.
A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), availability disruption (denial of service), with a CVSS base score of 9.8.
