CVE-2025-11366
CWE-22Published: November 12, 2025· Updated: Jun 17, 2026
Official Description
N-central < 2025.4 is vulnerable to authentication bypass via path traversal
Risk Analysis
This critical authentication bypass vulnerability in N-central versions prior to 2025.4 allows an attacker to bypass authentication via path traversal. With a CVSS score of 9.8, this flaw is highly severe and could lead to complete system compromise. The absence of an EPSS score and KEV listing means there is no current data to indicate active exploitation, but the high CVSS score warrants immediate attention.
No public exploit is currently known for this vulnerability. It is remotely exploitable with low attack complexity, meaning an attacker could exploit it over a network without needing complex techniques.
Users of N-central should upgrade to version 2025.4 or later to address this authentication bypass vulnerability. Ensure proper input validation and access control mechanisms are in place to prevent path traversal attacks.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2025-11366 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
The vulnerability requires no privileges and no user interaction, making it a prime target for automated exploitation campaigns and worm-like propagation.
A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), availability disruption (denial of service), with a CVSS base score of 9.8.
