CWE-434Published: February 27, 2024· Updated: Jun 17, 2026
Official Description
In the module "Product Catalog (CSV, Excel) Import" (simpleimportproduct) <= 6.7.0 from MyPrestaModules for PrestaShop, a guest can upload files with extensions .php.
Risk Analysis
The Product Catalog Import module for PrestaShop allows authenticated users with high privileges to upload arbitrary PHP files. This critical vulnerability can lead to remote code execution on the server.
There is no public exploit known, and it is not in the KEV catalog. It is remotely exploitable with low complexity.
Update the module to a version beyond 6.7.0 and implement strict file upload validation.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2024-25846 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
Exploitation requires high privileges, which limits the exposure to scenarios where an attacker has already gained initial access.
A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), availability disruption (denial of service), with a CVSS base score of 9.1.
The vulnerability has a "Changed" scope, meaning successful exploitation can impact components beyond the vulnerable component itself — such as the host operating system or adjacent services.
