CVE-2024-24021
CWE-89Published: February 8, 2024· Updated: Jun 17, 2026
Official Description
A SQL injection vulnerability exists in Novel-Plus v4.3.0-RC1 and prior. An attacker can pass specially crafted offset, limit, and sort parameters to perform SQL injection via /novel/userFeedback/list.
Risk Analysis
Novel-Plus is vulnerable to SQL injection via the user feedback list endpoint. An attacker can manipulate input parameters to execute unauthorized database queries, which is highly critical given the CVSS score of 9.8.
There is no known public exploit for this vulnerability, and it is not listed in the CISA KEV catalog. It is remotely exploitable due to the network vector and low attack complexity.
Users should upgrade to a version of Novel-Plus beyond 4.3.0-RC1 to remediate this vulnerability.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2024-24021 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
The vulnerability requires no privileges and no user interaction, making it a prime target for automated exploitation campaigns and worm-like propagation.
A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), availability disruption (denial of service), with a CVSS base score of 9.8.
From a weakness classification perspective (CWE-89): SQL injection vulnerabilities allow attackers to manipulate database queries, potentially exposing or modifying sensitive data.
