Risk Analysis

Novel-Plus v4.3.0-RC1 and prior versions contain a SQL injection vulnerability in the /sys/user/exit endpoint. Attackers can inject malicious SQL commands by manipulating offset, limit, and sort parameters. The 9.8 CVSS score reflects the critical nature of this remote execution risk.

No public exploit is known, and the vulnerability is not in the CISA KEV. It is remotely exploitable with low attack complexity.

Recommended Action

Upgrade to a patched version of Novel-Plus. Implement input validation and use parameterized queries to prevent SQL injection.

Generated by the CTIWATCH analysis pipeline from this CVE's metadata (CVSS, EPSS, KEV status, exploit intelligence). Verify against vendor advisories before acting.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2024-24015 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.

The vulnerability requires no privileges and no user interaction, making it a prime target for automated exploitation campaigns and worm-like propagation.

A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), availability disruption (denial of service), with a CVSS base score of 9.8.

From a weakness classification perspective (CWE-89): SQL injection vulnerabilities allow attackers to manipulate database queries, potentially exposing or modifying sensitive data.
