CWE-89Published: February 6, 2024· Updated: Jun 17, 2026
Official Description
A SQL injection vulnerability exists in Novel-Plus v4.3.0-RC1 and prior versions. An attacker can pass crafted offset, limit, and sort parameters to perform SQL injection via /novel/pay/list
Risk Analysis
Novel-Plus v4.3.0-RC1 and prior versions are susceptible to SQL injection via the /novel/pay/list endpoint. By passing crafted parameters, an attacker can execute arbitrary SQL commands. The 9.8 CVSS score indicates a critical risk to the database and overall system security.
No public exploit is known, and the vulnerability is not in the CISA KEV. It is remotely exploitable with low attack complexity.
Upgrade to a patched version of Novel-Plus. Ensure all user-supplied parameters are validated and handled using parameterized queries.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2024-24013 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
The vulnerability requires no privileges and no user interaction, making it a prime target for automated exploitation campaigns and worm-like propagation.
A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), availability disruption (denial of service), with a CVSS base score of 9.8.
From a weakness classification perspective (CWE-89): SQL injection vulnerabilities allow attackers to manipulate database queries, potentially exposing or modifying sensitive data.
