Risk Analysis

Saho attendance devices have insufficient authentication mechanisms, enabling unauthenticated remote attackers to bypass security controls. This allows unauthorized access to sensitive system information and user data. The 9.1 CVSS score indicates a high-severity risk requiring immediate attention.

No public exploit is known, and it is not included in the KEV catalog. The flaw is remotely exploitable with low attack complexity.

Recommended Action

Upgrade the firmware to a patched version and ensure the device is not directly exposed to the public internet.

Generated by the CTIWATCH analysis pipeline from this CVE's metadata (CVSS, EPSS, KEV status, exploit intelligence). Verify against vendor advisories before acting.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2023-38028 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.

The vulnerability requires no privileges and no user interaction, making it a prime target for automated exploitation campaigns and worm-like propagation.

A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), with a CVSS base score of 9.1.
