CVE-2023-35084
CWE-502Published: October 18, 2023· Updated: Jun 17, 2026
Official Description
Unsafe Deserialization of User Input could lead to Execution of Unauthorized Operations in Ivanti Endpoint Manager 2022 su3 and all previous versions, which could allow an attacker to execute commands remotely.
Risk Analysis
Ivanti Endpoint Manager is vulnerable to unsafe deserialization of user input, which can lead to remote command execution. The critical CVSS score highlights the high risk of total system compromise.
No public exploit is known, and the vulnerability is not in the KEV catalog. It is remotely exploitable with low complexity.
Update Ivanti Endpoint Manager to a version beyond 2022 su3 and apply all vendor-recommended security patches.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2023-35084 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
The vulnerability requires no privileges and no user interaction, making it a prime target for automated exploitation campaigns and worm-like propagation.
A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), availability disruption (denial of service), with a CVSS base score of 9.8.
From a weakness classification perspective (CWE-502): Insecure deserialization vulnerabilities allow attackers to inject malicious objects during deserialization, potentially enabling remote code execution.
