CVE-2022-45908
CWE-94Published: November 26, 2022· Updated: Jun 17, 2026
Official Description
In PaddlePaddle before 2.4, paddle.audio.functional.get_window is vulnerable to code injection because it calls eval on a user-supplied winstr. This may lead to arbitrary code execution.
Risk Analysis
PaddlePaddle contains a code injection vulnerability where user-supplied input is passed to an unsafe eval function. This allows for arbitrary code execution, warranting its critical 9.8 CVSS rating.
No public exploit is currently known, and it is not in the CISA KEV. The flaw is remotely exploitable with low attack complexity.
Users should upgrade to PaddlePaddle version 2.4 or later to remove the unsafe use of eval.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2022-45908 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
The vulnerability requires no privileges and no user interaction, making it a prime target for automated exploitation campaigns and worm-like propagation.
A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), availability disruption (denial of service), with a CVSS base score of 9.8.
