CVE-2022-4445
CWE-89Published: February 13, 2023· Updated: Jun 17, 2026
Official Description
The FL3R FeelBox WordPress plugin through 8.1 does not properly sanitise and escape a parameter before using it in a SQL statement via an AJAX action available to unauthenticated users, leading to a SQL injection.
Risk Analysis
The FL3R FeelBox WordPress plugin is vulnerable to SQL injection because it fails to sanitize user input in AJAX actions. This allows unauthenticated remote attackers to compromise the database, resulting in a critical 9.8 CVSS score.
There is no public exploit known, and it is not in the CISA KEV. The vulnerability is remotely exploitable with low complexity.
Update the FL3R FeelBox plugin to the latest version or remove the plugin if it is no longer required.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2022-4445 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
The vulnerability requires no privileges and no user interaction, making it a prime target for automated exploitation campaigns and worm-like propagation.
A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), availability disruption (denial of service), with a CVSS base score of 9.8.
From a weakness classification perspective (CWE-89): SQL injection vulnerabilities allow attackers to manipulate database queries, potentially exposing or modifying sensitive data.
