CVE-2022-36594
CWE-89Published: September 2, 2022· Updated: Jun 17, 2026
Official Description
Mapper v4.0.0 to v4.2.0 was discovered to contain a SQL injection vulnerability via the ids parameter at the selectByIds function.
Risk Analysis
The Mapper component contains a SQL injection vulnerability within the selectByIds function. This critical issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands, posing a severe risk to data integrity and confidentiality.
The vulnerability is remotely exploitable with low complexity, but there is no known public exploit or CISA KEV entry at this time.
Update the Mapper component to a patched version that sanitizes the ids parameter.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2022-36594 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
The vulnerability requires no privileges and no user interaction, making it a prime target for automated exploitation campaigns and worm-like propagation.
A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), availability disruption (denial of service), with a CVSS base score of 9.8.
From a weakness classification perspective (CWE-89): SQL injection vulnerabilities allow attackers to manipulate database queries, potentially exposing or modifying sensitive data.
