CWE-141Published: May 20, 2022· Updated: Jun 17, 2026
Official Description
A vulnerability has been identified in SICAM T (All versions < V3.0). Affected devices do not properly validate parameters of POST requests. This could allow an authenticated attacker to set the device to a denial of service state or to control the program counter and, thus, execute arbitrary code on the device.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2022-29872 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
Exploitation requires low privileges, which limits the exposure to scenarios where an attacker has already gained initial access.
A successful exploit results in complete confidentiality breach (data exposure), full integrity compromise (data manipulation), availability disruption (denial of service), with a CVSS base score of 8.8.
