Official Description
When a password reset or password change flow with an authentication policy is configured and the adapter in the reset or change policy supports multiple parallel reset flows, an existing user can reset another existing users password.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2021-42000 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
Exploitation requires low privileges, which limits the exposure to scenarios where an attacker has already gained initial access.
