Official Description
The web interface on Janitza UMG 508, 509, 511, 604, and 605 devices supports only short PIN values for authentication, which makes it easier for remote attackers to obtain access via a brute-force attack.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2015-3972 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
Exploitation requires some privileges, which limits the exposure to scenarios where an attacker has already gained initial access.
