Official Description
EMC SourceOne Email Management before 7.2 does not have a lockout mechanism for invalid login attempts, which makes it easier for remote attackers to obtain access via a brute-force attack.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2015-0531 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
Exploitation requires some privileges, which limits the exposure to scenarios where an attacker has already gained initial access.
