Official Description
The administrative interface in Allied Telesis AT-RG634A ADSL Broadband router 3.3+, iMG624A firmware 3.5, iMG616LH firmware 2.4, and iMG646BD firmware 3.5 allows remote attackers to gain privileges and execute arbitrary commands via a direct request to cli.html.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2014-1982 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
Exploitation requires some privileges, which limits the exposure to scenarios where an attacker has already gained initial access.
A proof-of-concept (PoC) exploit exists for CVE-2014-1982. While not yet confirmed in active campaigns, the availability of PoC code increases exploitation risk substantially.
