Official Description
Opera before 12.13 does not send CORS preflight requests in all required cases, which allows remote attackers to bypass a CSRF protection mechanism via a crafted web site that triggers a CORS request.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2013-1639 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
Exploitation requires some privileges, which limits the exposure to scenarios where an attacker has already gained initial access.
