Official Description
The CLI_ISCONTAINED macro in libclamav/others.h in ClamAV before 0.95.1 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) via a malformed file with UPack encoding.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2009-1371 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
Exploitation requires some privileges, which limits the exposure to scenarios where an attacker has already gained initial access.
