Official Description
Nortel UNIStim protocol, as used in Communication Server 1000 and other products, uses predictable sequence numbers, which allows remote attackers to hijack sessions via sniffing or brute force attacks.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2008-6564 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
Exploitation requires some privileges, which limits the exposure to scenarios where an attacker has already gained initial access.
