Official Description
Hosting Controller 6.1 Hot fix 3.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to obtain login access via a request to hosting/addreseller.asp with a username in the reseller parameter, followed by a request to AdminSettings/displays.asp with the DecideAction and ChangeSkin parameters.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2007-6494 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
Exploitation requires some privileges, which limits the exposure to scenarios where an attacker has already gained initial access.
A proof-of-concept (PoC) exploit exists for CVE-2007-6494. While not yet confirmed in active campaigns, the availability of PoC code increases exploitation risk substantially.
