Official Description
Directory traversal vulnerability in index.php in MiniBB 2.0.5 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the language parameter in a register action.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2007-3272 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
Exploitation requires some privileges, which limits the exposure to scenarios where an attacker has already gained initial access.
