Official Description
unzoo.c, as used in multiple products including AMaViS 2.4.1 and earlier, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite loop) via a ZOO archive with a direntry structure that points to a previous file.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2007-1673 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
Exploitation requires some privileges, which limits the exposure to scenarios where an attacker has already gained initial access.
