Official Description
dbclient in Dropbear SSH client before 0.49 does not sufficiently warn the user when it detects a hostkey mismatch, which might allow remote attackers to conduct man-in-the-middle attacks.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2007-1099 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
Exploitation requires some privileges, which limits the exposure to scenarios where an attacker has already gained initial access.
