Official Description
Novell iManager 2.5 and 2.0.2 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) in the Tomcat server via a long TREE parameter in an HTTP POST, which triggers a NULL pointer dereference.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2006-4517 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
Exploitation requires some privileges, which limits the exposure to scenarios where an attacker has already gained initial access.
