Official Description
Integer overflow in Opera 8.54 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a JPEG image with large height and width values, which causes less memory to be allocated than intended.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2006-3198 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
Exploitation requires some privileges, which limits the exposure to scenarios where an attacker has already gained initial access.
