Official Description
Memory leak in the NTLM fakeauth_auth helper for Squid 2.5.STABLE7 and earlier allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption).
Technical Analysis
CVE-2005-0096 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
