Official Description
Opera Browser 7.23, and other versions before 7.50, updates the address bar as soon as the user clicks a link, which allows remote attackers to redirect to other sites via the onUnload attribute.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2004-2260 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
Exploitation requires some privileges, which limits the exposure to scenarios where an attacker has already gained initial access.
