Official Description
Directory traversal vulnerability in MIMEsweeper for Web before 5.0.4 allows remote attackers or local users to read arbitrary files via "..\\", "..\", and similar dot dot sequences in the URL.
Technical Analysis
CVE-2004-1715 can be exploited remotely over the network without requiring physical or adjacent access, significantly expanding the attack surface for threat actors.
Exploitation requires some privileges, which limits the exposure to scenarios where an attacker has already gained initial access.
